The SBB Lyrae is a medium-sized scientific shuttle designed and built by BlueBird Shipbuilding.

The shuttle is named after the genitive case of the constellation Lyra, which has been a subject to a lot of scientific study over the years. It also contains the star Vega; a star which has been significant in science, and heavily studied by astronomers, along with the Ring Nebula - the best known planetary nebula.

Features:

• Two lab spaces: One setup as a xenoarchaeology lab, with a unfinished second lab for either the same or anomalous research.
• A well equipped workshop and R&D suite with room for new machinery.
• A modest ready room for the Research Director.
• Spacious airlocks to both port and starboard, with ample exterior storage space within the footprint of the ship.
• Twin uranium fuelled power generators.
